I saw a mother rabbit

With a bunny on her back

She knew he was too little

To run from an attack.

So she kept her bunny babe

Perched up by her shoulder blade

And went out for a snack.

If only mamas everywhere

Would keep their bunnies close

There’d be a lot less eaten by

Those wily old coyotes

But rabbits now send out their babes

To coyote class where they are prey

And no one’s taking notes.
