This is my warm up song. I play and sing it to warm up my voice and my hands and to put me in a mood to sing. It also really sums up my personality and perspective. If you know this song, you know the simplest "hi, people!" me. It's also a favorite of the great grand parents so I play and sing it for them fairly often. In my mind it has banjo and harmonica added to it and maybe some fiddle.

A        D         A        E7
Blue sky, sunshine, walk with me beneath the trees

              A         D           A       E7      A
And Dear with your hand in mine the day is, oh, so sweet!

D         A        D                A
We cannot know now what might lie before

D              A          E7
Whether it be sunshine or whether it be thunderstorm

A           D            A               D
Right now, Darlin’, with you here next to me

      A             D     A        E7
It’s blue sky, sunshine, walk with me beneath the trees

                A         D          A       E7     A
And Dear, with your hand in mine the day is, oh, so sweet!

A        D                  A
Like a walk in the autumn leaves

         D                      E7
The first snow fall ‘neath old pine trees

         A                       D
The way you smiled when you looked at me

  A        E7     A
That’s how I love you!

Like the eve of the Harvest Moon

The children laughing in one room

And the family table spread with food

Yeah that’s how I love you.

Like the stars on a dark evening

We shared some wine and everything

The way you stay right here with me

That's how I love you.
